Senegal: End of School Term with Various HonorsThe annual rainy season in Senegal lasts from June to October, during this time the schools close also. Unfortunately, I was not able to accept the invitation to the closing ceremony this year. Therefore, I was even more pleased that Elhadji Dieme, my project partner, could attend the festivities and represent us both. In addition to various honors from the inspectorate and school directors for the kindergartens and sanitary facilities that were built by our association, we also received another diploma of recognition as well. |

| I am particularly pleased about the visit of Misses Sissokho from Dakar, who is responsible for all of the kindergartens in Senegal. She came to get an idea of the situation in Sédhiou and it was said that she was very enthusiastic about our projects and our efforts in promoting preschool children. "Exemplair", as she said, "exactly what we want". An interesting contact has been established. | |
