Report from July 2023 The Rainy Season Means Vacation Time In the course of June, the rainy season begins in Senegal and the schools are closed until October. I am glad that also this year the construction work could be finished before. (You can read more about the new kindergarten building in the May 23 report). The heavy rains often lead to floods, roads and paths turn into rivers. During these months I stay in Switzerland to do the various association work and to carry out activities for the benefit of our relief organization. Currently I am in summer weather with my Senegal-Märt in the swimming pool Villmergen, probably from 9 to 16 July, spontaneously also additional days. Information about further planned events, e.g. concerts and fairy tale events in a beautiful garden, can be found on our website. You are welcome to already make a note of November 18, 2023, when a concert evening in the Sternensaal Wohlen with Senegalese delicacies will give African ambience.
