Pleasant Anticipation in Goudiabya

The preperations were successful and as soon as everything was verified, the planning could begin. The planning is on full speed in Senegal as well as in Switzerland. At the general assembly on 8th June 2017, our second kindergarten project in Goudiabya got approved. All of the adaptions were unanimously accepted by the attending members.

The founding of a Senegalese partner organization got approved as well. The statutes (rules and regulations) and also the logo of „ndimbal xale yi“, partenaire de kindergardens4senegal, got adapted, many agreements were made and then signed, to define our cooperation. The organization fulfills all of the Senegalese regulations and the documents were submitted to the authorities. The organization will get registered and will then be legally recognized.

On the one hand this organization is the link to the Senegalese Country. This helps make kindergardens4senegal get the whole legal acceptance and support from the government that it needs. Therefor we are protected in case problems or disagreements occur (e.g. with construction companies, teachers, etc.).

On the other hand it helps take some of the strain off me, so I have the time to do justice to all of my duties. The four main responsible people in our partner organization have already been very helpful with advice in our project in Niaguis and they have my full trust. We are planning a very close collaboration. Together we will take care of negotiations (president and project manager), help out with administrative work (secretariat), or will accompany me to all of the matters that are in connection with education or the inspector (head of education). I will also be getting support in the financial sector (treasurer). Many offers that were submitted (to me, a white woman) were higher than the normal standard. Money transfers however are still only valid with my signature. Nobaody else in Senegal has access to the association's money. I still will and must be briefed about all arrangements, records and contracts and only documents with my signature are valid.

I am really looking forward to going back to Senegal to begin with the realization of our kindergarten in Goudiabya after the rainy season.
